for internal compressing | length 300 mm | width of jaws 90 mm | Remove the shock absorber from the vehicle. | Clean all excessive dirt and grime from the spring. | In order to maximize the tools life, lubricate the threads of the center bolt. | Position the spring compressor through the shock absorber opening into the center of the spring. | Jaws should be fitted over the coils as close to the ends of the spring as possible. Note that both ends of the compressor have a long and a short jaw. Hook the jaws to the spring using the long and short jaw on opposite sides of the spring. | Turn the center bolt clockwise to hand tighten the compressor while aligning the jaws. | Using a ratchet fitted with a suitable extension and a 19 mm socket, continue tightening of the center bolt in order to compress the spring. | NOTE! Compress the spring only enough to be able to remove or install the spring. NEVER OVER COMPRESS A SPRING.
